Okay, so my school spelling bee is coming up, and i have a REALLY weird habit that triggers whenever i get nervous. Take a guess or two. Biting my nails? Nope. Chewing my hair? Nuh-uh. Hurting myself? DING DING DING!!! WE HAVE A WINNER! And for all of you who are wondering, I am not emo, never have been, and am not planning to. Whenever i get nervous, i can't resist just slapping my cheek really, really hard. It's a way of me punishing myself for getting myself nervous. Here's an example conversation of my hand and my brain.
Hand: Why are you getting yourself so nervous?!
Brain: I don't know! i wanted to make up for last year!
Hand: WELL NOW WE KNOW THAT WASN'T A GOOD IDEA!!
Brain: I know! I feel so bad!
Hand: You should!
And that is about the point where the hand slaps the face.
So i have a feeling my cheeks are going to be really red when i am spelling stratosphere.
Me: stratoshpere! S-T-R-A-T-O-S-P-H-E-R-E! stratosphere!
yup, i am pretty much the spelling nerd. even though i was nowhere close to winning last year. here's how it went. Well, i refused t let my hand slap me (well, wouldn't most people?), and that made me even MORE nervous, so then i walked up to the microphone.
Principal: Okay, Sierra, Your word is tickled.
Me: tickled. T-I-C-K-E-L-E-D. tickled.
Principal: I am sorry, that is incorrect.
Me: Runs off stage crying in humiliation.
then both my two best friends, Ana Kirkpatrick and Aubrey Miller, Shout out to them! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!! Also, a shout out to my principal! Happy 59th birthday! You don't get old, you get AWESOME!!! so my two friends Ana and Aubrey, they both got out on purpose to go outside and find me. They are the best friends ever! I really don't deserve them. But, i was already gone from the school. I was at home ripping up my contestant number. My mom ran it over with her car, we lit it on fire, and flushed it down the toilet. Good times, Good times. So i'm hoping to do better than i did last year. Wish me luck!
